Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Drive manufacturing efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives across manufacturing and Contract Manufacturing (CM) sites.
- Perform capacity analysis including manpower, equipment, floor space, and production planning.
- Improve manufacturing flow, line balancing, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, process analysis, and bottleneck identification to optimize production performance.
- Support production ramp-up and ramp-down activities based on customer demand.
- Work closely with CM partners to improve manufacturing operations and productivity.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, labor efficiency, and throughput.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production.
- Support continuous improvement activities including Lean Manufacturing and process optimization.
- Participate in equipment tracking, factory layout improvement, and operational improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related manufacturing environment.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, EMS, optical, or high-volume manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge in:
- Capacity planning
- Line balancing
- Time study / motion study
- Manufacturing efficiency improvement
- Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
- Process optimization
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and manufacturing data analysis.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional/global teams.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CM) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems, or SAP will be an added advantage.
