Objectives of This Role
- Own and operate enterprise IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance across servers, virtualized environments (VMs), hardware platforms, and core system configurations.
- Design and continuously optimize physical and virtual infrastructure to support business continuity, scalability, and evolving operational needs.
- Deliver and support business‑critical IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and maintain global competitiveness.
- Act as a key technical focal point, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful execution and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise server environments, including access control, security policies, system monitoring, and event‑log analysis.
- Design, deploy, and manage Virtual Machine (VM) platforms, covering provisioning, configuration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure hardware and configurations, including hosts, storage, networking, capacity planning, and security hardening.
- Monitor data‑center and infrastructure health, proactively resolve incidents, and support new physical and virtual server deployments.
- Maintain end‑to‑end IT infrastructure (servers, networks, endpoints) while providing advanced support, system audits, and ensuring backup and recovery readiness.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
- Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or virtualization engineering.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level server environments and data center operations.
- Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical systems is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) and server hardware (e.g., Dell, HPE).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity/access management.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
