The Infrastructure Platform Development team builds and maintains the foundational infrastructure layer that powers all Agoda's services. Running on over 25,000 server instances and hundreds of Kubernetes clusters, we design and develop systems that enable seamless virtualization, multi-tenant compute platforms and software-defined networking and storage. From building custom Kubernetes operators and automating bare metal provisioning to integrating one of the largest OpenStack private clouds in Asia and managing large-scale monitoring with OpenTelemetry, we work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver scalable, reliable and automated solutions. The Opportunity:

Our Infrastructure Platform Development team in Bangkok is seeking aSoftware Developer, Infrastructure to help us in design, build, scale and maintainAgoda's internal infrastructure platforms. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and enhancing our self-built infrastructure management system, as well as creating tools and scripts to interact with core components like OpenStack, Ceph and Kubernetes.

This role is a 12-month contract based in Bangkok, Thailand and the succeeded candidate will be assigned to the project.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Design, develop and implement your ideas to contribute to Agoda's infrastructure platform, with a main focus on maintaining and enhancing our self-built infrastructure management system.
  • Work on interesting challenges unique to the modern platform infrastructure we maintain, includingscaling, reliability and automation
  • Interact with technologies such asOpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetryand other industry-leading tools to build and optimize our infrastructure.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Preferably less than two years of experience.
  • Excellent collaboration and English communication skills
  • Some years of programming experience in a modern programming language (preferablyPythonor GO)
  • Basic knowledge of Development ecosystems likeGitand Docker
  • High sense ofownership, self-driven mindset, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in theLinux command line environment, including Bashscripting

It's great to have:

  • Experience in using modern CI/CDsystems (GitLab or GitHub Actions) and creating CI/CD pipelines with configuration as code (e.g., YAML, Bash)
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters OpenStack environments, or operating Ceph storage systems
  • Advanced Docker knowledge, including creatingDockerfiles, building multi-stage build,s andtroubleshooting complex container-related issues.
  • Experience with hardware management APIs such as Redfish, ILO, DRAC or similar
  • Knowledge of physical architecture at scale, including building resilient, highly available,e and fault-tolerant systems.
