Preparing detailed design plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
Selecting and specifying materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and other fixtures for the interior spaces.
Creating sample boards to illustrate the proposed design concept to clients.
Collaborating with documentation Team to ensure that the design is feasible and meets all requirements.
Overseeing the construction process and ensuring that the design is implemented as intended and Conducting quality control checks on all aspects of the project, including finishes, furnishings, and installation.
Staying up to date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to ensure that designs are fresh, innovative, and sustainable.
Qualifications
Technical proficiency is important, but a strong passion for interior design is crucial to succeed in this role.
Possession of a diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an interior designer and minimum of 5+ years of experience as a senior interior designer, with a specific focus on commercial/workplace interior projects, either in consultancy or design and build.
Thorough understanding of the design process, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), furniture systems and specifications, and color and materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. EnScape Render engine is a plus.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating unique, innovative, and functional design solutions.
