ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive test data analysis to support automate failure analysis process, identifying patterns and anomalies in test parametricdata
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and optimize data process flows, Data engineering, to enhancing the efficiency of automate HDD failure analysis procedures
  • Cooperate with the FA Engineer usersto validate the effectiveness of analysis scripts, accuracy of analysis conclusion.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of failure analysis databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for ongoing projects

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor'sdegree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technologyor equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data

PREFERRED:

  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks such as C#.NET, MVC/NET Core, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or Bootstrap
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals
  • Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts

SKILLS:

  • GoodEnglish proficiency both written/verbal
  • Proficient in presentation skills and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data accuracy
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies
