ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager - Data Audit is a high-impact technical role responsible for spearheading the data-driven transformation of the Internal Audit function. This role focuses on leveraging Data Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning to provide deep insights into the bank's control environment. The incumbent must be a data athlete someone who is highly adaptable, learns new technologies rapidly, and can navigate massive datasets within a complex Cloud and API-driven architecture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Data Strategy & Continuous Auditing
- Develop and implement a data-led audit strategy, leverages AI/ML models to proactively detect anomalies and high-risk patterns within the bank's digital ecosystem.
- Build and maintain Continuous Auditing dashboards using Data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to provide stakeholders with real-time risk visibility and assurance
- Design automated workflows to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse Database Management systems (SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes).
2. Advanced Analytics & AI Oversight
- Lead audits of the bank's AI/ML models to ensure algorithmic fairness, accuracy, and compliance with Bank of Thailand ethical AI guidelines.
- Perform complex data mining to detect potential fraud, misconduct, or process inefficiencies.
- Act as the subject matter expert on data integrity, ensuring that the Three Lines of Defense (3LOD) rely on high-quality, validated data.
3. Innovation & Agile Learning
- Rapidly research and adopt new auditing technologies to keep pace with the Virtual Banking environment.
- Translate Big Data into actionable strategic insights for Senior Management, challenging the status quo through data-backed evidence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Experience: Minimum 57 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Data Audit within financial services or high-tech industries.
- Technical Skill Set: A data-driven professional with a robust technical foundation, merging advanced Statistical Analytics (SQL, Python, R) with AI/ML modeling to deliver proactive risk insights. Expert in architecting end-to-end Data Infrastructure from managing diverse database environments to crafting high-impact Executive Dashboards that drive strategic decision-making.
- Education & Certification: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
- Soft Skills: An agile problem-solver with a strong data intuition, capable of extracting meaningful stories from complex datasets. Highly adaptable to fast-paced environments and skilled at bridging the gap between technical data and business insights through fluent bilingual communication (English & Thai).
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Audit Automation Percentage: Percentage of manual audit tests replaced by automated scripts or AI-driven continuous monitoring.
- Insight Delivery: Number of high-value Thematic Insights provided to the Audit Committee based on data trend analysis.
- Data Quality Assurance: Successful validation of data accuracy for critical regulatory reports required by the Bank of Thailand.
- Time-to-Insight: Efficiency in processing and analyzing massive datasets to meet audit deadlines.
