Internal Controls Manager (Pattaya, Thailand | Manufacturing)
Our client is a global manufacturing company looking for an experienced Internal Controls & Compliance Manager for its sizeable operation in Thailand. The position will help strengthen financial governance, assess business processes and ensure that control issues are resolved effectively.
The position is based in Pattaya, Thailand and is open to both local and expatriate candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders across finance, operations, procurement and supply chain to strengthen governance and accountability.
- Review controls across expenditure, inventory, company assets and other financially significant activities.
- Assess business processes, identify control weaknesses and recommend practical improvements.
- Coordinate the site's preparation for reviews conducted by corporate assurance teams and external auditors.
- Manage audit requests and work with process owners to ensure identified issues are properly addressed.
- Monitor remediation plans and provide management with clear updates on outstanding risks and progress.
- Review system access, approval limits and the separation of responsibilities across key processes.
- Ensure important procedures are clearly documented, communicated and consistently followed.
- Support compliance with applicable local regulations and investment-incentive requirements.
- Promote stronger control awareness through regular engagement with teams across the organisation.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in internal audit, internal controls, risk assurance or a related area.
- Strong understanding of SOX requirements and established internal-control frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage reviews independently and drive remediation across different functions.
- Experience within manufacturing or another operationally complex, asset-intensive environment.
- Confidence engaging with and challenging senior stakeholders.
- Experience working within a multinational organisation.
- Knowledge of Thai regulatory or investment-promotion requirements would be advantageous.
- A recognised accounting or internal-audit qualification is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English.
