Job Summary:
A Senior International Commercial and Business Development lead is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of global expansion—from initial market intelligence and lead generation to contract finalization and long-term sales growth. This role balances aggressive market hunting with meticulous process management to ensure Mizuhada's international operations are both scalable and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Expansion
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Identify and vet high-potential distributors/retailers; manage the BD pipeline to convert leads into active revenue-generating partners.
- Market Entry (GTM): Develop and execute Go-to-Market strategies, including regulatory roadmaps, competitive pricing, and localized product assortments.
- Partnership Management: Serve as the lead negotiator and primary contact for global partners; conduct QBRs to ensure alignment with brand standards and KPIs.
Sales Performance & growth
- Revenue Ownership: Drive international sales to meet/exceed monthly and annual targets; manage the BUs P&L and trade marketing budgets.
- Growth Optimization: Implement upselling and cross-selling initiatives within existing accounts to ensure sustained YoY growth.
- Performance Analytics: Generate Performance Reports to translate market data into actionable sales tactics and supply chain forecasts.
- Operation excellence: Oversee international trade marketing activities, ensuring effective product launches and in-store/online visibility.
Process & Documentation Management
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all export documentation, Incoterms, and international contracts ensuring 100% legal and regulatory accuracy.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain systematic processes for international partner onboarding and order fulfillment.
- Trademark Management: Lead the end-to-end Trademark registration process in target countries to secure Brand Protection before market entry.
Stakeholder Coordination & Synergy
- Cross-functional Leadership: Bridge international partners with internal Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth launches.
- Smooth Operations: Ensure seamless communication to resolve logistics bottlenecks, product registration hurdles, or marketing alignment issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in International Business, Economics, or related fields.
- 5+ years in International BD, Sales, or e-commerce (FMCG or Beauty is a plus)
- Proven ability to find leads and convert them into revenue-generating partners quickly.
- Ability to generate and interpret Perf Reports to pivot strategies based on data.
- Fluent in English; ability to navigate diverse cultural business etiquettes is essential. Additional languages ex. Chinese is a plus
- Strong ownership and proactive drive to grow the business from scratch; ability to navigate ambiguity and make calculated risks to capture market opportunities.
- Deep understanding of P&L management, margin structures, and the financial drivers of international trade. Ability to assess market potential and financial viability.
- Good knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), export documentation, and commercial contracts.
