About The Role
- This internship is designed for university students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within large-scale construction projects
- As part of the DayOne Construction Team, you will support EHS initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while learning industry best practices in data centre development
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring EHS policies, procedures, and standards on construction sites
- Support daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments
- Help ensure compliance with local regulations and company EHS requirements
- Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions
- Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and records
- Monitor contractor safety performance and adherence to safety protocols
- Support environmental management initiatives, including waste management and sustainability practices
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture

Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university program (Diploma or Degree) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in construction safety and EHS practices
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and risk management principles is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic construction environment
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Relevant coursework or prior internship related to EHS or construction safety
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 standards
