The student will focus on leveraging a dashboard to visualize and analyze yield performance, and converting yield data files into a user-friendly format. The goal is to create a intuitive and interactive platform that enables easy access and understanding of yield data, facilitating data-driven decision making and process improvement.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Support product engineering team in daily technical and production activities
- Monitoring production yield performance and highlight abnormal trends
- Develop and maintain yield monitoring dashboard (e.g., using Tableau, Excel, Power BI)
- Track daily/weekly yield performance against target and specification limits
- Coordinate with production, quality and related teams to follow up on issues
Internship learning outcomes:
- Gained a clear understanding of product structure, specifications and manufacturing processes
- Learn to collect and analyse production data such as yield and defect rate
- Apply problem solving tool (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbones diagram) to identify root causes
- Learn to support yield improvement and defect reduction activities
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including:
- Microsoft Excel (required)
- Business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI (required)
- Programming languages like Python or MATLAB (optional)
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectively
