Position: Inventory Controller

Position Reports to: Senior Manager Supply

Department: Supply Chain

Location: Surat Thani, Thailand

General Summary of the Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager Supply, this position plays a key role in ensuring work orders are properly closed and material consumption per WO and yield have been timely reconciled with production daily. The inventory on WIP should also be highlighted and provided on weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily work orders of production and summarize details and proper reconciliation with production team.
  • Provide monitoring and alert on inventory risk based on WIP and NRP numbers.
  • Collaborate with S&OP team to ensure some excess stock of WIP should be addressed and handled in a timely manner.
  • Summarize material usage variance and call up the meeting to identify the root cause and preventive actions.
  • Ensure inventory WIP levels are aligned with service level targets, shelf-life requirements, and business priorities
  • Actively manage order execution, backlog, and allocations to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory
  • Flag inventory risks such as slow-moving stock, obsolescence, and expiry dates
  • Communicate effectively and work cross functionally across the company as necessary to meet departmental and company goals
  • Support supply chain initiatives and new process improvement implementation
  • Prepare and analyse departmental reports as requested

Qualifications & requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, inventory management or a related field, ideally in FMCG industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external constituents
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently on given tasks, and to gradually take ownership of specific tasks.
  • Ability to learn new tools and skills such as Power BI.

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in Thai and English language is required. Any other language is a plus.
