Role
We are building our APAC presence from the ground up, and we are looking for an Investment & Strategy Associate to be part of that from day one.
You will work directly with our Head of APAC across the full scope of what we do in the region: researching markets and analysing companies to inform what we back, and helping bring European technology into APAC through partnerships and market entry. This is a rare early-stage seat. The work is real, the exposure is direct, and the role is built to grow as we do. As we scale in Asia, the person in this seat is positioned to grow with it and take on more ownership of how we source, research, and build.
It suits someone ambitious and generalist, who wants proximity to live transactions and senior decision-making over a narrow analyst track, and who is happy doing what a lean team needs to win.
What you'll do
- Build market overviews and competitive landscape maps across APAC target sectors
- Run company deep dives, turning financial, operational, and strategic data into clear investment memos and briefings
- Identify and track investment and M&A targets, maintaining a structured, living pipeline
- Support market entry for European technology into APAC, from opportunity sizing to execution
- Develop and manage relationships with founders, investors, partners, and ecosystem players across the region
- Monitor sector and geopolitical developments, producing concise summaries for internal and external stakeholders
About You
- 2+ years in investment banking, VC, PE, M&A advisory, or strategy consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field from a strong institution
- Strong research and writing, able to turn messy information into sharp, structured outputs
- Commercially minded and comfortable building relationships, with genuine interest in technology, geopolitics, and the APAC landscape
- A genuine interest in business strategy and growth, with the ability to understand and anticipate leadership needs
- Proactive and resourceful, comfortable owning multiple workstreams independently in a lean team with little hierarchy
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive information
- Based in Singapore or Bangkok. Open to candidates willing to relocate to the region.
- Willingness to travel across APAC
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Nice-to-haves
- Existing network among APAC investors, operators, or technology founders
- Familiarity with PitchBook, Crunchbase, or similar research platforms
- Exposure to defence, public safety, or dual-use technology sectors
- Additional language skills relevant to the APAC region
