Job Description

The International School of Engineering (ISE) at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Lecturers in Automotive Design and Manufacturing Engineering Program. Thailand is a major automotive manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, with an annual production of about 2 million vehicles. ISE offers an international multi-cultural academic community at Chulalongkorn University, the leading academic institution in the country.

Successful candidates are expected to strengthen the curriculum and the research portfolio by recognizing the current and future trends in the industry. Commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring students are primary roles of the positions. Other responsibilities include conducting independent research, maintaining a sound academic publications record, and supporting management in administrative matters.

We are currently seeking candidates with expertise in multiple core areas in automotive engineering, including (but not limited to)

Vehicle Electrification, Hybrid Vehicle Technology and Power Electronics

Vehicle Battery Management System (BMS)

Autonomous and Connected Vehicles

Advanced Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Technology

Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Methods

Body, Structure Development and Crashworthiness

Vehicle Thermal Management and HVAC System

Vehicle Aerodynamics, DRS systems

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Engineering or a closely related field (required)

Ability to teach in a broader range of the curriculum and lab teaching experience (preferred)

Strong record of student supervision and mentorship (preferred)

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment

Proven history of collaboration with staff, fellow faculty, or industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English

Willingness to shape the future of Automotive Engineering education and research in the region.
