About the Role
We are hiring an IT Manager for a PE-backed data centre platform, as they scale operations across the region. You will be the primary IT owner on the ground — running both the technical operations side and the corporate IT environment.
What You'll Do
- Own internal IT infrastructure end-to-end: servers, storage, network (LAN/WAN), Wi-Fi, structured cabling, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Supervise and cross-train L1/L2 engineers on remote/smart hands operations — rack & stack, power cycling, cross-connects, cabling — ensuring SLA compliance for hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation customers
- Manage corporate IT systems for end users: devices, email/collaboration tools, onboarding/offboarding, and IT policy enforcement
- Own IT security and compliance — firewall, endpoint protection, MFA/identity management, and supporting ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 audits
- Guide internal stakeholders through requirements gathering for ERP (NetSuite) vendor management, partnering with the group's existing ERP/system analyst team
- Support emerging technology initiatives, including AI-driven operations tooling and IoT-based physical security systems (e.g. CCTV)
- Track KPIs (uptime, incidents, SLA adherence), manage vendor and budget oversight, and report on IT performance and risk
- Operate as the group's primary technical liaison for client-facing IT commitments — this role's obligations extend beyond internal backend support to directly impact client service delivery
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of relevant data centre IT experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity — data centre industry background is essential
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (Cisco, Fortinet or equivalent), virtualization platforms, Windows/Linux administration, and ITIL-aligned practices
- Familiarity with BMS, DCIM, ITSM tools, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
- Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) and vendor management for business applications
- Comfortable operating as the sole on-site IT presence for an extended period, with strong ownership and self-starter instincts
- Certifications a plus: ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP/CISM, Microsoft/VMware
