About the Role
The IT Operations Manager will oversee the IT operation team, ensuring effective management of hardware, operating systems, storage, backup, and monitoring functions. This role requires a strategic approach to troubleshooting and enhancing team efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible IT operation team including hardware, operating system, storage, backup, and monitoring functions.
- Systematic troubleshooting and summarizing issues for responsible functions above include creating proper countermeasures for each issue.
- Identify or support current operation issues and apply enhancement to improve team efficiency.
- Manage team resources for regular operations and unexpected events align with ITIL concept.
- Provide technical guidance for both team members and customers.
- Quickly understand up to date technologies and share with team members.
- Create detailed issues reports and present them to customers.
- Create weekly reports and present them to both customers and supervisors.
- Maintain and understand team inventories (Configuration Management) well.
- Create and conduct training sessions for team members or customers.
- Identify and resolve conflicts between or among team members.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or related fields.
- At least 5 years experience in IT operation Manager or in a similar leadership role within the industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure areas such as hardware, operating system, storage, backup, and monitoring.
- Experience in team management with at least three members is a big advantage.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing IT operations team and able to manage team with multi-generational teams.
- Able to deliver small projects using team resources and knowledge.
- Create and manage infrastructure script in any language.
- Systematic and critical thinking is non-negotiable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
- Strong Service-minded and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing business will be a plus.
- Confidence in English communication in both verbal and written.
- Willing to work in flexible schedules, including after-hours and holidays.
- Able to work onsite at client locations (Bang Bor, Samut Prakan) as required.
