Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, along with general system administration duties. This role will ensure seamless integration, robust security, and efficient operation of identity services and IT infrastructure across the organization, including laptop software installation and setup.
Key Responsibilities
Administration:
- Platform Management
- Manage and maintain the platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for various applications.
- Oversee Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configurations and policies.
User and Access Management:
- Provision and deprovision user accounts and access in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor user access and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Perform regular audits of user accounts and access rights.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses related to identity and access management.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents related to identity services.
General System Administration:
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support for system-related issues and resolve incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve integration and system issues.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Network and Security:
- Monitor and manage network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Laptop Software Installation and Setup:
- Install, configure, and maintain software on laptops for new and existing employees.
- Ensure that all laptops meet company standards and security policies.
- Provide initial setup and orientation for new users on their laptops and software.
Project Management and Training:
Project Involvement:
- Participate in IAM and IT infrastructure-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and IT staff.
- Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in identity and access management.
- Proven experience administering Okta or similar IAM platforms.
- Solid experience in general system administration.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of identity management concepts, SSO, MFA, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in integrating Okta with various applications and services.
- Familiarity with protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
- Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
- Knowledge of server and network administration, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with laptop software installation, configuration, and user setup.

Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard working hours.
- Occasional after-hours work may be required for maintenance and troubleshooting.
