We are seeking a dedicated Italian Food Ingredients Specialist to lead our sourcing and operations. This role is critical in ensuring that our premium Italian imports—ranging from delicate cheeses to specialty herbs—are managed, stored, and repacked with the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand & Product Expertise: Act as the internal subject matter expert on Italian brands, product assortment selection. Responsibilities include providing strategic product recommendations, conducting training sessions for the sales team, identifying potential suppliers, and occasionally participating in client-facing meetings to support key accounts.
- Inventory & Cold Chain Management: Oversight of storage conditions specifically for Italian dairy and temperature-sensitive produce.
- Supplier Liaison: Responsibilities include attending key business meetings and negotiating commercial terms on behalf of Delish Foods Co., Ltd.
- Establish Standard Receiving & Storage Protocols: Design and implement precise workflows for inspecting, handling, storing incoming temperature-sensitive Italian products and supply chain logistics to ensure maximum freshness and quality control.
- Production Preparation Equipment: Source and select professional equipment required for product preparation
- Utilize and maintain ERP and WMS system: to track stock levels, production schedules, and operational data.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Italian food sourcing, procurement, or quality control.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (GHP/HACCP).
- Deep-rooted understanding of authentic Italian culinary heritage and food culture
- Deep knowledge of Italian culinary brands and ingredient categories.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for preserving the Authentic Italian quality.
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Italian
- Strong network with Italian food producers or suppliers is highly preferred
