Karen/Hakha Chin OPI/VRI Interpretation - Remote

This is a full-time remote role for a Karen/Hakha Chin OPI/VRI Interpreter. The primary responsibilities include providing real-time over-the-phone and video interpretation services, facilitating effective communication between individuals speaking Karen or Hakha Chin and English, and accurately conveying messages in different contexts. The interpreter will assist clients in various settings, such as healthcare, legal, and customer service environments, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• Fluency in both Karen or Hakha Chin and English languages, with the ability to accurately interpret meaning and context
• Strong listening, comprehension, and verbal communication skills to ensure effective and accurate interpretation
• Familiarity with cross-cultural communication and sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts
• Experience or knowledge in industries such as healthcare, legal, or customer service is highly desirable
• Proficiency in remote communication tools and technology, with the ability to work efficiently in a virtual environment
• Ability to handle confidential information and adhere to strict ethical protocols
• Prior interpretation experience or formal training in interpretation is preferred
