Key Account Executive ( Modern Trade - New Business) lead sales growth in Modern Trade and retailer online platforms while expanding new channels and product distribution. This role offers strong commercial exposure through key account management, strategic negotiation, and end-to-end business execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Account Management (Modern Trade & Retailer Online)
- Manage and achieve sales targets for assigned Modern Trade accounts including retailer online platforms (e.g., Lotus's Online, Big C Online).
- Develop annual business plans and execute promotional activities to drive sales growth both in-store and online.
- Monitor sales performance, trade spending, and ROI to ensure profitability.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
2. New Business & Channel Expansion
- Identify and develop new sales channels to expand business opportunities.
- Drive new product listings (NPD) and expand product distribution across offline and online retail platforms.
- Introduce new SKUs to key customers and ensure successful product launches.
- Monitor performance of new channels and newly launched products to ensure sustainable growth.
3. Negotiation & Stakeholder Management
- Lead negotiation on trading terms, promotional programs, pricing, and joint business planning with key customers.
- Coordinate with retailer teams for both offline and online promotional campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and key decision-makers.
4. In-store & Online Execution Excellence
- Ensure excellent in-store execution, visibility, and merchandising standards.
- Monitor online product visibility, pricing, and promotional activities on retailer platforms.
- Work closely with field sales teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Executive role within FMCG or Consumer Products industry.
- Experience managing Modern Trade accounts and exposure to retailer online platforms (e.g., Lotus's Online, Big C Online) is a plus.
- Experience in Omnichannel or E-commerce operations with Modern Trade retailers is highly preferred
- Strong relationship management skills with buyers and key stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills.
- Experience using sales and market data tools such as AC Nielsen or Power BI.
- Good command of English and strong computer literacy.
