About The Role
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning for Key Stage 1 pupils, nurturing confident, curious learners through a caring, structured, and engaging environment that reflects the school's values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Courage, and Respect.
Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, seen, heard, and celebrated
- Use a range of teaching strategies appropriate to early primary learners
- Embed phonics, early reading, writing, and number fluency effectively
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including EAL and SEN
- Use formative and summative assessment to inform next steps in learning
Pastoral Care
- Support pupils emotional, social, and academic development
- Model and promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families Promote the school's values consistently through daily practice
- Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with year group partners, teaching assistants, and specialists
- Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to meetings and events
- Engage fully in professional development and performance management
- Contribute positively to whole-school life
Position Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree (preferably in Education)
- Experience teaching KS1, preferably within a UK school or British curriculum setting
- Strong knowledge of early literacy, phonics, and numeracy
- High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
- Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
- UK teaching experience
- Experience in an international school context
- Experience working with EAL learners

- Working day; Monday - Friday 7:30am 4.00pm
- Overtime: when school events exceed the working day such as during inter-school sports events, weekends, or events deemed compulsory to attend by the head of School
