About The Role

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning for Key Stage 1 pupils, nurturing confident, curious learners through a caring, structured, and engaging environment that reflects the school's values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Courage, and Respect.

Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, seen, heard, and celebrated
  • Use a range of teaching strategies appropriate to early primary learners
  • Embed phonics, early reading, writing, and number fluency effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including EAL and SEN
  • Use formative and summative assessment to inform next steps in learning

Pastoral Care

  • Support pupils emotional, social, and academic development
  • Model and promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families Promote the school's values consistently through daily practice
  • Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with year group partners, teaching assistants, and specialists
  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to meetings and events
  • Engage fully in professional development and performance management
  • Contribute positively to whole-school life

Position Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree (preferably in Education)
  • Experience teaching KS1, preferably within a UK school or British curriculum setting
  • Strong knowledge of early literacy, phonics, and numeracy
  • High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
  • UK teaching experience
  • Experience in an international school context
  • Experience working with EAL learners

Terms of Employment

  • Working day; Monday - Friday 7:30am 4.00pm
  • Overtime: when school events exceed the working day such as during inter-school sports events, weekends, or events deemed compulsory to attend by the head of School
