Administer and maintain enterprise storage arrays including provisioning, LUN creation, volume management, and access control (mapping/masking).
Manage NetApp ONTAP clusters (nodes, SVMs, aggregates) and configure file-sharing protocols (NFS/CIFS).
Oversee FlashArray and FlashBlade environments using native GUI, CLI, and predictive analytics tools (e.g., Pure1).
Data Protection & Disaster Recovery
Implement and manage data replication strategies including NetApp SnapMirror/SnapVault and Dell SRDF for business continuity.
Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans and operational runbooks/SOPs.
SAN Fabric Management
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Brocade DCX SAN switches, including fabric zoning, port management, and connectivity issue resolution.
Performance & Capacity Planning
Proactively monitor storage utilization, IOPS, and latency trends using tools like Active IQ, Unisphere, and Pure1.
Perform capacity planning to accommodate business growth and optimize performance.
Incident & Change Management
Act as the L3 escalation point for critical, high-impact storage outages and performance degradations.
Lead deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
Execute firmware upgrades, OS patching, and maintenance activities following structured ITIL change management processes.
Vendor & Automation
Collaborate with vendor Technical Assistance Centers (TAC) for hardware replacements, bug escalations, and complex troubleshooting.
Develop automation scripts (Python/Ansible) to streamline repetitive provisioning, reporting, and maintenance tasks.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise storage administration, with at least 3 years operating in an L3 escalation capacity.
Technical Expertise:
Dell EMC: Deep hands-on experience with PowerMax 2000 and Dell ECS (object storage). Proficiency in SRDF configuration and management.
NetApp: Strong experience with ONTAP operating system, AFF/FAS hardware, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.
Pure Storage: Experience managing X-Series (X20/M20) FlashArrays and using the Pure1 portal.
SAN Networking: Strong proficiency with Brocade (specifically DCX directors) including advanced zoning, fabric monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Automation: Proven ability to write scripts using Python or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
IT Service Management: Certified in or familiar with ITIL 4 framework for incident, change, and problem management.
Good-to-Have Skills (Desirable but not mandatory)
