Job Purpose

  • Inspect and analyze raw material quality testing, glaze production, slip, and plaster production, as well as the production process and products, from glaze and clay production to firing.
  • Carry out assigned tasks related to improving various aspects related to securing new, affordable, high-quality raw materials and improving clay, glaze, and plaster formulas to lower prices while maintaining the same or improved production quality in various aspects.

Responsibilities

Engineer

  • Analyze the various testing tasks of the laboratory department to ensure they are in line with standards and report results to enable improvements or corrections if any irregularities are found.
  • Responsible for experimental work, research and development of various raw materials, including plaster, and reserving slip formulas and glaze formulas to reduce production costs or improve the quality of the product and reduce various defects.
  • Responsible for improving and supporting various processes related to the work of the laboratory department, including the production of clay and glaze.

Team Management

  • Review the work and results of tests and experiments conducted in the laboratory department to ensure they meet standards. If any irregularities are found, a report must be submitted.
  • Present work on work improvements and various experimental projects to the department head.

Reporting and Quality Control

  • Prepare a test report on the quality of raw materials, the quality of glaze slips, including the post-fire test of sanitary ware.
  • Present test reports, experimental work or budget requests to the department head.
  • Inspect testing, reporting, and inspection of raw materials, coatings, and other materials for employees or technicians.
  • Prepare other reports as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering or other related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience or a completed internship in a ceramic production / manufacturing.
  • Be able to lead a team to complete assigned tasks within the specified time frame.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and effective interpersonal communication.
  • Proficiency in English, computer literacy, Google Sheet, Google slide, Looker Studio, and presentation tools.
