JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lab Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by conducting application testing, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with standard procedures and safety requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining lab efficiency and contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs, work instructions, and guidelines
  • Conduct textile testing including dyeing, printing, finishing, and fastness evaluations
  • Prepare and document accurate lab reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards
  • Support lab operations, including:

-Stock control for consumables, chemicals, and dyestuffs

-Waste management and housekeeping

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory
  • Coordinate effectively with team members to ensure smooth lab operations
  • Support training of junior staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in textile application, chemical, dyestuff, or lab testing
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and textile testing methods
  • Moderate level of English proficiency
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
