Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare bitumen samples for testing using standard methods, including heating, pouring, and conditioning.
Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests on bitumen, such as: Penetration Grade, Softening Point (Ring & Ball), Viscosity (Rotational, Brookfield), Ductility, Flash Point (Cleveland Open Cup), Solubility, Elastic Recovery (for modified binders), Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR) & Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR) tests, Saybolt Viscosity, Cone penetration
Accurately record, analyze, and report test data using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or spreadsheets.
Support in calibration and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory of supplies and chemicals.
Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Assist in the investigation of product non-conformances and customer complaints.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to provide timely test results and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
