About Artificial Intelligence (AI):

Suffolk's AI team is at the forefront of redefining how AI transforms the built environment. Operating as a core part of Suffolk's global innovation ecosystem, the team works at the intersection of construction, technology, and advanced analytics to design and deploy AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges across jobsites and enterprise functions.

The work spans a broad range of IT capabilities, including enterprise applications, end-user support, systems integration, and platform delivery. The team helps ensure seamless connectivity across systems, reliable day-to-day operations, and a strong foundation for continued digital growth across the business.

Overview:

Lead end-to-end development of AI-powered business use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own lifecycle: design build test maintain
• Build Agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, APIs
• Optimize for accuracy, latency, and cost
• Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 8–10 years engineering
• 3-4 years developing AI/ML systems (traditional and Gen AI)

Core Skills;

• Strong Python (must-have) ; Go/Java/Rust – nice to have
• Experience building APIs and data pipelines

AI Capabilities:

• Hands-on with:
• Prompt engineering (system prompts, structured outputs)
• Advanced agentic techniques, using Langchain/langGraph, CrewAI or similar
• Using LLM APIs (OpenAI, etc.)
• RAG pipelines
• Basic evaluation techniques

Data Skills:

Experience working with:

• JSON, document parsing, ETL pipelines
• Ability to clean and structure messy enterprise data
