About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our Data & IT Operations team. In this role, you will lead analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights that improve sales performance, customer experience, and business operations. You will use SQL, Python, and BI tools to turn complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of advanced data analyses across retail business domains.
- Build and optimize SQL queries and Python workflows for scalable data extraction, transformation, and modeling.
- Develop and oversee dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI and Looker Studio.
- Leverage Google BigQuery for large-scale data management and advanced analytics.
- Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, reporting frameworks, and data-driven strategies.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, setting standards for analytics best practices.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's a plus).
- 5+ years experience in data analytics, ideally with exposure to retail/e-commerce.
- Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on Python for data analysis and modeling.
- Proficiency in at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio).
- Solid understanding of retail business metrics, KPIs, and analytics use cases.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Google BigQuery (GBQ).
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud data platforms (GCP preferred).
- Exposure to advanced analytics (predictive modeling, customer segmentation).
