The Lead Quality Engineer will build the overall test strategy for given system components, leading software testing activities in an agile team, work on defining test scenarios, test cases and writing test automation within a continuously integration environment. This role will also propose the appropriate functional and non functional test frameworks and tooling to be used for software qualification. Close working with Architects, Product and key collaborators is required in order to deliver good quality software that meets customers needs. Coaching and mentoring team members alongside leadership skills are needed for this role.
Responsibilities:
You will engage with product owners, architects and technical specialists in order to understand business requirement, technical requirement and translate them to build test strategy and test scenarios to qualify the products/services. You will build and maintain the reusable, reliable test automation code based that will be used to qualify business/technical requirement. You will propose the appropriated test framework and tools to be used for software qualification and ensure that those are aligned with company standard/policies.
You are occasionally responsible for writing automated test scripts/test codes covering both functional test and non-functional tests in different test level (e.g, component test, integration test, end-to-end tests).
You will join a team collaborating with product owners to provide testing plan and do the estimation for testing effort in order to meet customer needs. You will work with other team members closely to set timeframes of the assigned task and detailed achievements to meet customer's requirements and business needs. You will review test scenarios and test cases with junior staffs to ensure the quality of test codes and meet the engineering practice.
We continuously work to identify and implement any improvements to improve team/operational efficiency. And You will be responsible to drive them to achieve efficiencies and results.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related subject area.
- Experience 5+ years in software testing.
- Shown knowledge and experience in the fundamental of software testing, testing concept, method, automation test implementation and test tools.
- Solid Understanding of Robot framework, Cucumber and Python programming.
- Experience of performance testing and tools.
- Experienced in the Cloud technology
- Understanding of security implications and secure coding
- Practical experience with agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, JIRA etc.)
- Proficient in English for both spoken and written
- Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components
- Self-motivated, pressure-tolerant, and result oriented personality with innovation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
