We are looking for a Lead/Staff Database Administrator with expertise in managing and optimizing complex, large-scale database environments. We provide various on-demand services such as food delivery, mart, messenger, and ride services, with over 10 million monthly users relying on our systems that handle massive user traffic 24/7, real-time analytics, and recommendation engines. The role requires exploring and mastering new technologies like Vector Databases to power our next-generation features. While hands-on experience with Vector DBs is a significant plus, we strongly encourage candidates with a deep passion for learning and an unshakeable database foundation to apply.

What you'll Need:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Database Administration, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals, including indexing, replication, and query optimization.
• Extensive experience in the administration of cloud-based databases, particularly Amazon RDS and Aurora (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Strong proficiency in troubleshooting complex database issues in a high-traffic production environment.
• Solid experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience working with applications built on microservice architectures.
• Proactive, initiative, and eager to learn and apply new technologies.

It'd be great if you have:

• Experience with or knowledge of Vector Databases (e.g., Milvus) is a significant plus. (Candidates with a strong passion for learning and a solid database foundation are strongly encouraged to apply).
• Hands-on experience with large-scale, self-hosted MongoDB (replica sets, sharding) is an advantage.
• Experience with analytical databases or search technologies such as ClickHouse
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
