Role Description – Lean Transformation Expert
1. Cost Reduction & Operational Excellence
- Lead plant-wide cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Analyze the plant's operational performance and total cost structure to identify key improvement opportunities.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive strategic Lean improvement projects aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure effective execution and sustainable results.
- Drive achievement of cost targets and enhance the competitiveness of the Thailand plant.
2. Lean Management System Development
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve the plant-wide Lean Management System.
- Develop Lean standards, methodologies, tools, and governance mechanisms.
- Promote Lean thinking, continuous improvement, and operational discipline across the organization.
- Introduce and replicate proven Lean practices from benchmark plants and global operations.
3. Lean Talent Development
- Design and deliver Lean management training programs for employees and management.
- Develop Lean professionals, improvement leaders, and management capabilities.
- Establish a sustainable Lean talent development and succession pipeline.
- Coach teams and managers to independently identify and implement improvement opportunities.
4. Lean Project & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Integrate Lean methodologies throughout the product and operational project lifecycle.
- Provide professional Lean guidance to Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, Quality, and other relevant functions.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex operational issues.
- Ensure improvement projects achieve measurable, sustainable, and standardized results.
5. Global Best Practice & Knowledge Transfer
- Benchmark Lean practices across domestic and overseas plants.
- Adapt and deploy proven Lean methodologies to the specific operating environment of the Thailand plant.
- Establish mechanisms for continuous knowledge sharing and replication of successful improvement practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization, including practical experience applying tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and visual management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments, with solid understanding of production systems, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills, capable of coaching diverse teams, leading workshops, and influencing stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Proven project management capabilities, including planning, prioritizing initiatives, coordinating cross-functional activities, and meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or a related field; advanced lean or Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Rayong, with a collaborative and proactive mindset and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in standard office and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization software); English language skills suitable for technical communication and reporting.
