This position will be based in Bangkok, Thailand. You will report to the Legal Director APAC.
Key responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of operational and commercial agreements, including distribution, sales, marketing, services and supply agreements in English and Vietnamese.
- Establishing and optimizing legal processes, workflows, standards and templates.
- Offering advice and counsel on a variety of legal issues and business topics to internal stakeholders for assigned markets across APAC, particularly in Vietnam.
- Advising on legal risks and proposing solutions to mitigate such risks, including but not limited to commercial, corporate governance, employment.
- Participating in M&A projects, divestitures, and other matters with organization-wide impact.
- Building close cross-functional relationships and maintaining a strong knowledge of the products, services and objectives of Dentsply Sirona.
- Managing relationships with external counsel and other professionals representing Dentsply Sirona for projects.
- Coordinating pre-litigation, litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Thai lawyer.
- 8+ years of relevant post-qualification experience gained in a global organization and/or law firm. Experience supporting organization or clients in other countries also preferred.
- Strong background in contract, corporate and competition law and supporting sales initiatives, with a preference for experience in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and prioritize issues and provide solutions to key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with excellent business acumen and good common sense.
- Proactive, pragmatic and efficient with a hands-on mentality.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
