About this Job:

We are seeking a Legal Counsel (In-house) to provide advanced legal counsel and strategic support to our organization. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5-8 years of experience in corporate law, particularly in international legal operations, and demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with overseas vendors across jurisdictions, including Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea.

This position reports to the company's board of management and involves leading initiatives in partnership with various departments to drive legal compliance and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic legal advice on complex matters, including contract review, drafting, and negotiation, while collaborating with senior stakeholders and external legal counsel to manage high-impact issues and mitigate risks.
Oversee visa and work permit processes for foreign employees, ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with the HR department to establish robust frameworks for employment law compliance across jurisdictions.
Lead and ensure consistency in employee disciplinary investigations, preparing legally sound resolutions while supporting HR-related compliance efforts.
Direct the preparation and submission of documentation for business registration, licenses, permits, and other legal requirements, ensuring adherence to regulations and timelines.
Develop and execute legal strategies to support business growth and align with industry best practices, proactively addressing risks and leveraging opportunities from legal and industry developments.
Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by the board or management.

Qualifications:

Hold a Lawyer's license
Bachelor's in Law, or equivalent
Strong English language skills (Spoken, Written, Reading)
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in corporate, focusing on international operations in dynamic, fast-paced corporate environments.
Proven experience working with overseas or international vendors and managing cross-border legal complexities.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with a proactive approach to providing practical legal solutions.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of influencing and advising stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple complex projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism.
