Legal Manager (Law Firm Background Required)
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts & Legal Documentation
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents.
- Support contract lifecycle management and ensure legal documentation aligns with business requirements and risk management standards.
- Maintain and update standard contract templates and legal documentation frameworks.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Support corporate governance activities, including preparation of corporate records, resolutions, and regulatory filings.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and assess potential business impact.
- Assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Legal Advisory & Business Partnership
- Provide practical legal advice to cross-functional teams across commercial, operational, and support functions.
- Support strategic initiatives, projects, and business transactions from a legal and compliance perspective.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisors and service providers when required.
- Act as a key legal contact for regulatory matters and official inquiries.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across business activities.
- Support internal reviews, audits, and risk assessment initiatives.
- Recommend risk mitigation measures and process improvements to strengthen governance practices.
Disputes & Legal Matters
- Assist in the management of disputes, claims, and legal proceedings.
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on legal matters.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations for management as required.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of legal experience gained in-house and/or private practice.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
