Legal Officer (Leasing & Consumer Finance)
Location: Eastern Bangkok Area (Minburi vicinity)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze updates to laws, regulations, and industry guidelines related to leasing, hire purchase, and consumer finance businesses.
- Provide practical legal advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders and management regarding regulatory compliance and business operations.
- Review, prepare, and support legal documentation, agreements, and regulatory-related submissions.
- Work closely with business teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support communications and interactions with regulatory authorities and external parties when required.
- Provide legal opinions and risk assessments to support business initiatives and operational activities.
- Collaborate with management on legal and compliance matters affecting the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law.
- Valid Lawyer License is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in consumer finance, leasing, hire purchase, banking, or related financial services industries.
- Strong knowledge of hire purchase, leasing, civil and commercial law, consumer protection regulations, data privacy regulations, anti-money laundering requirements, and credit bureau regulations.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
Preferred Background
- Experience working with financial institutions, leasing companies, consumer lending businesses, or related regulatory environments.
- Exposure to regulatory engagement and compliance advisory work would be an advantage.
