Role Purpose
To lead and personally handle litigation and dispute resolution matters for the company and its group businesses. This role requires hands-on courtroom experience, end-to-end case management, and the ability to act as the company's principal litigator from legal advisory and drafting pleadings through court proceedings and enforcement of judgments.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all litigation and dispute matters for the company and its group entities, including active representation in court.
- Act as lead counsel in civil, criminal, labor, and administrative cases from pre-litigation strategy to final judgment and enforcement.
- Provide practical and strategic legal advice on disputes, commercial contract breaches, labor disputes, and related legal risks.
- Personally draft and review legal pleadings and court documents, including but not limited to:
- Complaints / Plaints
- Motions and petitions
- Defenses and counterclaims
- Appeals and enforcement-related documents
- Appear before courts, government authorities, and enforcement officers on behalf of the company.
- Manage and execute judgment enforcement and debt recovery actions, including coordination with relevant authorities.
- Support debt collection strategy and dispute resolution processes; experience in banking, financial institutions, or debt recovery is a strong plus.
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements as required.
- Provide legal support and advisory services to internal stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.
- Supervise and mentor internal legal staff, including paralegals, ensuring quality and timeliness of legal work.
- Liaise with external counsel only when necessary, while retaining overall control and accountability for litigation strategy and outcomes.
- Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and court practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law.
- Licensed lawyer (Thai Bar Association or Lawyers Council of Thailand).
- 510 years of solid, hands-on litigation experience, with proven track record of:
- Court appearances
- Drafting pleadings independently
- Managing cases through trial and enforcement
- Direct experience in civil, criminal, labor, or administrative court proceedings.
- Candidates with experience primarily limited to coordinating with outsourced law firms without personal courtroom exposure may not be suitable.
- Experience in banking, financial institutions, debt recovery, or enforcement proceedings is highly preferred (but not mandatory).
- Experience with reputable or international law firms is an advantage.
- Strong case management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex cases with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel upcountry for court hearings when required.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is an advantage.
