Role DescriptionThis role is responsible for logistics inbound/outbound operations with a strong focus on outbound activities and providing backup support for inbound. The position supports distribution, import/export operations, and coordination with customer forwarders to ensure business continuity and on-time delivery. In addition to core logistics execution (e.g., inventory allocations), the role provides full backup capability to the Inventory Specialist, performs audits, maintains critical master/transaction data, and updates functional procedures as required.

Key Responsibilities

·      Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with relevant local and international laws and regulations.

·      Prepare, manage, and validate shipping/export documentation and required online submissions (if any) to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant export execution.

·      Support the Distribution Requirements Planning process to ensure timely and accurate product delivery, including product movement coordination.

·      Communicate and coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, warehouse, customers, and relevant authorities across territories as needed to ensure efficient, positive, and compliant operations.

·      Build and maintain formal working knowledge of domestic and international rules/regulations governing chemical shipments and Dangerous Goods (DG).

·      Investigate, plan, and implement effective transportation methods that best meet organizational, supplier, and customer needs.

·      Monitor and ensure logistics activities comply with Quality and HSE management system requirements, as well as local and international regulations.

·      Contribute to a customer-focused service environment and drive service excellence.

·      Support cost control initiatives; resolve logistics/transportation non-conformances related to import/export and communicate with the Supply Chain team as appropriate.

·      Monitor, record, analyze, and report logistics activities, trends, results, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

·      Perform inventory allocation support and provide full backup coverage for the Inventory Specialist.

·      Update and maintain logistics procedures when appropriate or as assigned.

·      Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Experience

·      Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.

·      5–7 years of experience in logistics, import/export, distribution, or related functions.

·      Experience in the chemical industry and/or a multinational environment is a strong advantage.

·      Experience working with 3rd party logistics providers (3PL), freight forwarders, and DG handling is preferred.

·      DG certification/training (e.g., IATA/IMDG) is a plus.

·      SAP knowledge.

·      Proficient in English (written and spoken).

·      Self-starter mindset with strong customer problem-solving orientation.

·      Highly independent worker with appropriate escalation and periodic review with manager.

·      Ability to recognize, analyze, and propose solutions to complex logistics issues; engage relevant stakeholders to ensure proper resolution.

·      Strong analytical skills to interpret reports/data and drive continuous improvement actions.

·      Ability to make timely decisions to prevent delays and ensure customer deliveries are not impacted.

·      Teamwork: builds close working relationships with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and other stakeholders.

·      Adaptability: flexible and effective in ambiguous, stressful, or changing situations.

·      Action-oriented: works with minimal supervision while knowing when to consult others.
