Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and stable M&E Tender Manager to lead our mechanical and electrical tendering activities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in winning new business by managing the end-to-end tender process, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing, and identifying commercial risks early. This role requires deep technical knowledge in M&E systems, strong contractual acumen, and a proven track record of long-term commitment to previous employers.
Key Responsibilitie
s1. Tender Management & Strateg
- yLead the entire tender lifecycle for M&E packages (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) from receipt of ITT (Invitation to Tender) to final submission
- .Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work and identify project risks/opportunities
- .Develop competitive pricing strategies and value engineering (VE) proposals to optimize costs without compromising quality
.2. Cost Estimation & Quantity Surveyin
- gPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and material take-offs
- .Source and negotiate competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers in the market
- .Conduct rate analysis and benchmarking against current market prices
.3. Contractual Review & Risk Managemen
- tReview contract terms and conditions (FIDIC or local standard forms) to identify commercial risks and propose deviations or qualifications
- .Ensure compliance with regulations, codes of practice, and safety standards during the tender stage
- .Collaborate with the legal and project teams to align tender submissions with company capabilities
.4. Leadership & Coordinatio
- nManage and mentor junior estimators and quantity surveyors
- .Coordinate with internal departments (Procurement, Operations, Design) to ensure technical feasibility of proposals
- .Attend tender interviews, site visits, and clarification meetings with clients and consultants
