Job Summary
Macro & Financial Market Economist is the key member of Macro and Financial Analytics team under ttb Analytics, focusing on macroeconomic trends, the banking sector, and financial markets. The position is responsible for delivering precise, relevant analyses and strategic insights to support the bank's high-level decision-making. This includes forecasting economic and financial conditions, assessing their impacts on the bank's assets, liabilities, risks, and interest rates, and contributing to strategic research aligned with corporate initiatives. The role also involves sharing analytical outputs with business units, clients (non-confidential insights), media, and public relations platforms to provide commentary and strengthen the bank's thought leadership in economics and finance.
Job description
- Forecast and analyze macroeconomic, financial market, and banking sector conditions relevant to the bank's operations.
- Assess and quantify the impacts of macroeconomic and financial developments on the bank's balance sheet, risk profile, interest rate outlook, and the overall banking industry, particularly for ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee).
- Conduct strategic research aligned with the bank's corporate direction, supporting various business segments with data-driven insights.
- Develop and deliver economic analyses, commentaries, and recommendations to support strategic and management decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal business units to share insights, support initiatives, and contribute analytical input to strategic discussions.
- Provide non-confidential economic insights to clients as part of the bank's advisory value proposition.
- Participate in media and PR activities by providing expert commentary on economic issues, financial markets, and the banking sector.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and analytical materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance analytical frameworks, models, and forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.

- Knowledge of economic and financial forecasting techniques.
- Advanced skills in econometrics, statistical analysis, or financial modeling (preferred).
- Understanding of business strategy and key economic issues.
