Company Description Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTSC) operates the BTS SkyTrain, a joint-venture company of BGSRM6. BGSR 6 is the company managing the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Bang Pa-in–Nakhon Ratchasima Motorway (M6) project in Thailand
Role Description The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and oversight of maintenance operations, encompassing civil and structural works, roadway maintenance, and systems/electrical works across all projects. This role ensures full compliance with engineering standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as stipulated by the Department of Highways, with the objective of maintaining safe and continuously operational road networks at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and manage the Five-Year Maintenance Plan, as well as annual, quarterly, and monthly maintenance plans, in accordance with Department of Highways requirements
- Oversee and control preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works for all assets and infrastructure
- Monitor and ensure the quality of maintenance performance carried out by internal teams and subcontractors, in compliance with established SLA standards
- Administer and oversee the Asset Management System (AMS), including deterioration records and condition assessments (e.g., International Roughness Index for pavements, bridge structures, and building systems)
- Direct emergency response teams and coordinate rapid repair actions in the event of accidents or critical incidents to restore traffic flow promptly
- Review and verify the accuracy of daily maintenance performance reports prior to submission to executive management and the Department of Highways
- Ensure adherence to organizational management systems, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- Undertake additional duties as assigned in support of departmental operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in highway, bridge, tunnel, or large-scale infrastructure maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge of highway engineering, structural systems, and Traffic Control/Management Systems (TCS/TMCS)
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance budget management and contract negotiation with subcontractors
- Strong leadership capabilities with sound, decisive judgment in resolving technical and operational challenges
- Willingness to work on-site and, when required, outside standard working hours or overnight (e.g., during lane closures for major maintenance activities or emergency incidents)
