Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Lead asset and liability management activities
  • Lead the strategic asset allocation study and related implementation
  • Support development of risk and investment strategies
  • Optimize capital structure and solvency position
  • Explore and execute capital initiatives
  • Lead Participating (Par) portfolio management, including annual bonus declaration

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Asset - Liability Committee (ALCO) and oversee all Asset - Liability Management (ALM) metrics to ensure sound balance sheet health and financial stability.
  2. Support annual Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) study, collaborating with risk, investment, and finance teams to implement follow-up actions and track progress throughout the year.
  3. Support the risk team in reviewing risk standards and developing mitigation plans, providing actuarial insights and technical assessments as needed.
  4. Partner with the investment team to evaluate and support investment strategies, asset initiatives, and tactical portfolio decisions.
  5. Support any capital optimization initiatives to enhance the company's capital efficiency and solvency position.
  6. Support all Participating (Par) product management activities, including annual bonus studies, dividend policy reviews or updates, and handling any ad-hoc Par-related requests.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in actuarial, engineering, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
  • Associate or Fellow of actuarial organizations, such as SOA, IFoA, and etc.
  • 5-8 years of experience in insurance or financial service industry
  • Strong background in capital management, risk management, regulatory reporting, solvency reporting, asset and liability management, and actuarial functions
  • Experience in TH RBC, GIECA, ICS, and local regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of solvency / capital modeling, ALM, business plans, Par management, and etc.
  • Strategic thinkings with the ability to align capital management and business objectives.
