Position Overview
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety programs to ensure a safe workplace, regulatory compliance, and alignment with global food manufacturing standards. This role also oversees key administrative functions related to facility management, site landscaping, and general administration within the factory.
Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, permits, and industry standards related to waste management, wastewater treatment, emissions, and chemical handling.
- Develop and monitor environmental sustainability programs (e.g., water conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction).
- Oversee environmental monitoring, reporting, and documentation required by government and global standards.
- Lead initiatives for ISO 14001 certification and continual improvement in environmental performance.
Occupational Health & Safety
- Design, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures for production, warehouse, laboratory, and utilities areas.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, HAZOP, JSA, and hazard identification for all production activities.
- Lead accident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Manage PPE programs, emergency response plans, fire safety systems, and first-aid readiness.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, OSHA principles, and internal corporate HSSE requirements.
Food Manufacturing Compliance
- Support food safety, hygiene, and GMP practices in alignment with global certifications (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Collaborate with QM, Production, Engineering, and R&D to ensure safety controls for processing lines, packaging lines, and utilities.
- Participate in internal/external audits related to EHS and food safety requirements.
Training & Culture Development
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employee levels (contractors, operators, supervisors, leaders).
- Promote strong safety culture, employee awareness, and proactive reporting systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks, drills, and campaigns on safety, hygiene, chemical handling, and emergency response.
Management & Reporting
- Lead the EHS team and coordinate cross-functional safety committees.
- Monitor and report on EHS KPIs, accidents, near misses, energy usage, waste, and compliance status.
- Prepare reports for management, regulatory agencies, and certification bodies.
- Manage EHS budget, resources, equipment, and vendor relationships.
General Administration
- Handle general administrative support for daily plant operations.
- Manage office administration tasks such as office facility, stationery, meeting room management, and visitor handling.
- Ensure smooth workflow between departments through efficient administrative processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 710 years of EHS experience in food or beverage manufacturing (preferably coconut-based, dairy, or liquid processing).
- Strong knowledge of Thai EHS laws and global standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, HACCP).
- Experience in managing audits, incident investigations, and compliance programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and EHS management systems.
