Job Description

This is a leadership role managing end-to-end finance operations for Huron's India entity. You will be responsible for accounting, taxation, compliance, audit support, and financial reporting in alignment with both Indian regulations and US parent company requirements. The role demands strong technical, regulatory, and leadership capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) and active member of ICAI


Experience:

  • 8–10 years of finance and accounting experience
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in Indian tax laws (GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, etc.)
  • Experience managing finance for an Indian subsidiary of a global company (preferably in IT)


Technical Skills:

  • ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong grasp of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and US GAAP
  • Direct and indirect tax compliance


Soft Skills:

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with global teams
  • Multitasking and time management in high-pressure environments
  • Ethical and integrity-driven work style


Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting:

  • Oversee AP, AR, GL, Payroll, and Fixed Assets accounting
  • Ensure timely book closure (month-end/year-end)
  • Support audits and statutory reporting
  • Conduct GL review, variance analysis, and reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany adjustments and transfer pricing
  • Revenue recognition and contract tax code review


Tax Compliance & Reporting:

  • Oversee compliance for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing
  • File tax returns and ensure timely tax payments
  • Handle tax audits and planning
  • Advise on structuring and tax implications of business decisions


Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain internal controls
  • Ensure statutory compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, etc.
  • Manage statutory, tax, and ITGC audits


Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead the local finance team and ensure ongoing professional development
  • Coordinate with US parent company on consolidation and reporting under US GAAP
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to streamline operations
