Overview
The
Manager - Finance & Accounting will be responsible for all Accounting, Finance and Accounting related compliance matters for the CB&I Entities within Thailand. The role will oversee all financial and accounting operations for the Thailand entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, corporate policies, and international standards. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions for the Thailand entities. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across functions.
Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in compliance with Internal policies and local GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to regional and global headquarters.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide actionable insights.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to local tax laws, statutory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Maintain robust internal controls and support audits (internal and external).
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
- Oversee foreign exchange transactions and mitigate financial risks.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff in Thailand.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to support business decisions.
- Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives and cost optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 7-8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of Thai GAAP and local tax regulations
- Experience in multinational company environment preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems (JD Edwards or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Hyperion HFM and SmartView experience is preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and Thai (written and spoken)
