Main Responsibilities
Customer Activities:
- Serve as the main contact with customers for daily business in the country and ensure customer satisfaction to the largest extent.
- Communicate customer requirements to the company via interfaces and manage customer complaints.
- Plan, develop and implement market and customer strategies, marketing, and business concepts as well as product and service portfolios for the accounts; negotiate prices and terms.
- Develop and implement market intelligence based on local accounts strategy (including proposed investment plan for Capex, labs, technical service, etc.) in line with regional frameworks.
New Business Development:
- In accordance with corporate strategic goals, control and secure cooperation and provide support in business development (request for quotation- RFQs, contracts/ bids)
- Ensure that all price proposals and adjustments are processed through i-Marketing/GCT system, obtaining the appropriate approvals.
- Drive local business development for strategic target customers.
- Formulate and implement the operative pricing policy (in compliance with the strategic pricing policy) and prepare the relevant business case.
Account Management:
- Manage material forecast for N-1 and N-4 for every account to Supply Chain Management (including imports and local production), achieving the organization's target forecast accuracy %.
- Develop local market and competitor analysis.
- Working cross functionally with other departments to fulfill customers needs in support of company strategies and achieving targeted cCM1 and Selling Cost
- Driving new projects/ new customer acquisition initiatives through the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process
- Manage stock inventory and ensure timely collection of account receivables.
- Collaborate and communicate with regional and ASEAN account managers and related cross functional units.
- Direct and prioritize the workload of team members. Train (via on-the-job, in-house and/or external training programs) and coach the direct reports in to improve the working efficiency, quality, and professional skills of the team members.
- Compile and review work records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve results.
- Ensure product quality, drive change management and quality management.
- Ensure all activities comply with all IATF16949, ISO14001, EHS rules/ regulations and RC requirements.
Responsible Care and EHS:
- Maintain safe working environment and operate safely for support work safety and efficient production activities according to plant safety regulations, Company EHS guideline, ISO 45001, RC Requirements and Quality and Energy management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, chemistry or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the coatings industry is required. Candidates should also have at least 5 years of experience involving direct communication with end customers.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant industry-specific software tools.
- Experience with commercial or technical knowledge, particularly related to the coatings industry.
