THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented legal professional to join our legal team as Manager – Legal. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders across our digital media, technology and fintech businesses. You will advise on strategic initiatives, commercial transactions, emerging regulatory developments and product launches that impact millions of users.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, commercially minded and comfortable navigating complex legal questions in rapidly evolving industries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Commercial Transactions & Strategic Partnerships - Lead drafting, review, negotiation and closure of a broad range of commercial agreements. - Support strategic partnerships, technology integrations, marketing and advertising arrangements, alliance agreements, listing agreements and business collaborations with various counterparties. - Structure and negotiate complex commercial arrangements while balancing legal risk and business objectives. - Advise stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial discussions through execution and implementation.

Product, Technology & Regulatory Advisory - Partner with business and product teams on new initiatives, launches and growth opportunities. - Provide practical legal advice on issues relating to: - Digital media and publishing - Fintech and payments - Technology and internet businesses - Data privacy and data protection - Consumer protection - Advertising and marketing - Intellectual property - Intermediary and platform regulations - Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.

Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with leadership teams across business, product, technology, finance and operations. - Work with external counsel, regulators, partners and industry participants where required. - Help develop scalable legal processes and frameworks that enable business growth.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience - 8–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team supporting digital, technology, media, internet, fintech or consumer-facing businesses.
• Strong experience advising on complex commercial transactions and regulatory matters.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage matters from inception to completion.
• Skills & Expertise -
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation and risk assessment skills.
• Strong understanding of technology, internet and digital business models.
• Familiarity with fintech, payments, lending or financial services regulations will be highly valued.
• Working knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection and advertising laws.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice.
• Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law. - Strong academic credentials from a reputable institution.
