The specific responsibilities of the role of Manager in Machine Learning include:
Leverage cutting-edge Natural Language Processing (NLP), Anomaly Detection, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to optimize and streamline business processes and decision-making.
Build, test and release services incorporating Anomaly Detection, NLP ML and AI models
Stay up to date on the latest developments in the fast-moving NLP and ML space by reading papers and documentation for toolkits such as Tensorflow, Keras, AWS and others
Write programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner
Communicate with internal and external clients to understand and define business needs and appropriate modelling techniques to provide analytical solutions
Evaluate modelling results and communicate the results to technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineer, or another quantitative field
3+ years of practical experience in developing NLP and machine learning models
3+ years coding in Python, R, JAVA or other programming languages
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) problems such as language modeling, language identification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, lemmatization, and summarization
Experience with Anomaly Detection problems such as fraud detection, network intrusion detection, Manufacturing quality control, Website performance monitoring, Credit card transaction monitoring, System resource monitoring and system health monitoring.
Experience with API test automations is a plus
Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases is a plus
With a can-do attitude and be an active advocate for Quality and the Customer
