Job Description

Job Responsibilities (Key Responsibilities)

Compensation Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and refresh the compensation philosophy, policies, and governance framework.
  • Partner with HRBP/Finance/Business leaders to ensure rewards align with business priorities and budget.

Market Benchmarking & Insights

  • Manage salary surveys and market benchmarking for key roles.
  • Provide recommendations on pay competitiveness and positioning.

Job Evaluation & Leveling

  • Lead job evaluation methodology and ensure consistent job leveling/grade mapping across functions.
  • Maintain job architecture and leveling guidelines for new/changed roles.

Salary Structure Design & Maintenance

  • Design and maintain salary structure, pay ranges, and comp ratio guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic structure reviews to ensure consistency and competitiveness.

Annual Compensation Planning

  • Lead annual processes: merit increase, promotion, adjustment, and budgeting.
  • Build scenarios and models to support decision making and cost control.

Benefits Program Design & Vendor Management

  • Design/improve benefits programs (health, insurance, allowances, wellbeing).
  • Manage vendors, service levels, renewals, and cost trend analysis.

Incentive / Equity Plan Management

  • Manage short-term incentive (STI) and/or long-term incentive (LTI/equity) program governance.
  • Ensure eligibility rules, documentation, payout accuracy, and approval workflow.

Total Rewards Communication

  • Create total rewards communication materials: policies, FAQs, manager toolkits, TR statements.
  • Drive employee understanding and manager capability in rewards discussions.

Analytics, Compliance & Risk Control

  • Build dashboards and reports for rewards insights and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with labor law, tax, internal controls, and data confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Economics, or related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 1015+ years in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards, with leadership experience.
  • Strong exposure to salary surveys/benchmarking, job evaluation, and salary structure design.
  • Experience leading annual compensation planning and budget modeling.
  • Benefits design experience and vendor management capability.
  • Hands-on with HRIS / payroll data; advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, modeling).
