Role Purpose
As the Manager - Vendor Assurance within our Supply Chain Management department, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the stability of our supply chain. You will ensure that all vendors and suppliers consistently adhere to our corporate standards across quality, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and ESG/sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Qualification & Onboarding: Execute strict pre-qualification evaluations covering quality, regulations, ethics, and ESG standards. Maintain and systematically update our Approved Vendor List (AVL) along with all supporting documentation.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor vendor compliance against laws, corporate policies, and contracts. Systematically evaluate and mitigate supplier risks (including financial, operational, quality, ESG) and maintain an agile risk-rating framework.
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Establish vendor KPIs and manage the Vendor Scorecard system (tracking metrics like Quality, Delivery, Cost, Service, and Innovation). Lead performance review meetings and implement Corrective Action Plans for underperforming partners.
- Audit & Assurance: Formulate and execute both on-site and remote vendor audit plans. Deliver high-impact audit findings, track the timely closing of non-conformities, and coordinate with internal audit, legal, and compliance teams.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the core bridge for vendor-related topics across Procurement, R&D, Quality, Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain. Provide training and clear advisory insights on vendor risk and compliance policies.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience:7–10 years of direct experience in Vendor Management, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Compliance.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient knowledge of vendor and risk management principles, alongside critical standards including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 27001 (Information Security), and GMP.
- Leadership & Communication: Natural leadership traits paired with exceptional presentation, communication, and cross-departmental coordination skills.
- Execution Skills: Strong systematic risk analysis capabilities, advanced problem-solving/decision-making capacity, and professional proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
