About Our Client :
Our client is a global manufacturing serving the Automotive OEM and broader industrial sectors, with a strong manufacturing footprint across the SEAP (South East Asia Pacific) region. As part of continued growth in Thailand, they are seeking a senior operations leader to take full accountability for the country entity.
The Role :
This is a dual-mandate leadership position combining Managing Director responsibility with hands-on Operations leadership, reporting into Regional (SEAP) Management and Global HQ in EU, and holding a seat on the SEAP subregional management team.
Country Leadership
- Act as the senior-most representative of the business in Thailand, accountable for overall performance and key stakeholder relationships (government, partners, customers)
- Represent Thailand's interests on the SEAP subregional board, contributing to regional strategy and PMO leadership
Operations Management
- Own end-to-end manufacturing operations for OEM and industrial segments
- Lead supply chain planning and execution to ensure on-time, cost-efficient delivery
- Drive the quality management system and continuous improvement in line with automotive standards (IATF 16949)
- Ensure robust HSE practices and compliance across all facilities
- Direct extrusion tool-making operations, including capability development and capacity planning
Strategic & Cross-Regional Contribution
- Lead or contribute to strategic projects spanning product development and production footprint optimization
- Drive local-to-local product development initiatives relevant to the Thailand/AP market
- Partner with regional Competence Centers to align local execution with global technical standards
What We're Looking For :
- Proven Managing Director , General Management , Country Head experience within OEM Manufacturing
- Strong operational background across Operation , R&D , supply chain, quality, and HSE — ideally including exposure to extrusion or tooling operations
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 or equivalent automotive quality frameworks
- Track record of P&L ownership and representing an organization at senior stakeholder level (government, customers, partners)
- Experience contributing to or sitting on a regional leadership/subregional board is a strong plus
- Fluent English
- Based in or willing to relocate to Thailand
