Job Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer (Cable Assembly) is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective cable assembly production. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, implement new products, and resolve engineering issues from concept through mass production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or technical support
- Strong knowledge of 2D CAD (3D is advantageous)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
- Understanding of ERP/MRP systems (BOM, Routing, PPS)
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (FMEA, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean, Poka-Yoke)
- Good English communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
What Your Background Should Look Like
- Experience in cable assembly or similar manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in process design, NPI, and production support
- Hands-on involvement in tooling, fixtures, and equipment development
- Familiarity with DFM, PFMEA, and pilot run execution
- Experience in driving cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Engineering)
- Experience in coaching operators and technicians
- Exposure to ISO 9001 or internal audit processes is a plus
