  • Manage manufacturing engineering resources who support the operations for manufacturing process engineering, industrial engineering, plant facilities maintaining and security control
  • Lead and manage
    • Product design and technical support on customer demand.
    • Process design for new product.
    • Cost estimating, pricing and getting awarded on new program.

What You Will Do

  • Manage manufacturing engineering resources and team of industrial engineers, process engineers, facility technicians, outsource suppliers to develop and sustain the manufacturing process capabilities, manufacturing process control, plant facilities and security control.
  • Manage manufacturing process transfer between entities both inbound and outbound.
  • Develop/coach the engineering resources to pursue their Self-Actualization.
  • Improve the competitive manufacturing advantage through GLSS program, develop the engineering team's skills and knowledge in using GLSS tools.
  • Plan, deploy and review goals and objectives of the manufacturing engineering department to ensure execution effectiveness.
  • Industrial Engineering
    • SAP Basic Data Setup and Maintain.
    • Standard Time and Utilization.
    • Standard Product Packaging.
    • Plant Layout.
  • Sustaining Process Engineering
    • Support on daily manufacturing process troubleshooting.
    • Improve manufacturing process to meet or exceed cost, quality and delivery lead time target.
    • Introducing new manufacturing process capabilities that included but not limited to new machines, equipment, method, technology, etc. to manufacturing
    • Implement transfer manufacturing processes from other Molex location
    • Apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce no value-added activities and reduce process variation
    • Improve the production processes and their capability with new technology/metrology
  • Working closely with Commercial Excellence team to introduce plant capabilities to get the new business opportunity to plant.
  • Understand company cost structure, using corporate cost workbook in cost estimating process.
  • Follow PMO process to develop new program launch to meet timing plan, profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or any related fields.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in Manufacturing engineering, including 3-5 years in Management capabilities.
  • Experience in new program development process.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Manufacturing Process Development and Analysis.
  • Advance Statistical Techniques, Green Belt Six Sigma Qualification.
  • PFMEA, Risk Analysis, APQP, Process Verification and Validation, IQ-OQ-PQ, PPAP
  • Problem Solving Skills and framework.
  • Knowledge in Plant Layout, Time & Motions Study, Work Measurement, IE Techniques, Tooling, Molding, Assembly and Automation process.
  • Cable assembly, fiber optics product knowledge is an advantage.
  • ISO 13485, GMP and GDP.
  • Computer Literacy, Microsoft Office, Minitab.
  • Good Supervisory, Communication Skills and commands of English.
  • Commercial and financial knowledge.
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Program management skills.
  • Strong report and presentation skills.
